FREE STREAM AND DOWNLOADLooNurGooSe brings Halloween to life this season with a twisted new concept album titled Z.I.L.F. Offering the uniquely dark perspectives of the peculiar minds of Chad Hamlin and Erik Libbert, Z.I.L.F. delivers a mixture of brilliance and madness, this six song collection takes LooNurGooSe to an entirely new headspace.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recluse - There are few conditions that expose the frailty of human psyche more than extended periods of isolation. As solitude stretches out, the mind will turn on itself out of sheer boredom. Recluse is the account of one man’s struggle to maintain his sanity as feelings of abandonment threaten to bury him alive. As his mind bends beyond the point of no return, he is surprised to discover that he is no longer alone. As he flees down the rabbit-hole with his new companions (a raccoon, a baboon, a moose, and a goose) they search desperately for a happier place; A hiding spot into which they can escape, to avoid the clutches of madness. Only to find a riddle that no one seems to understand. How do you slab the blab? Make Me Human - Set in the distant future, long after the extinction of man, Make Me Human offers a glimpse into one possible evolution of life on this planet. Though mankind is gone, his mechanical creations live on, evolving and adapting to their new role as heirs to an empty throne; rulers of an empty kingdom. As artificial intelligence feeds itself, growing exponentially, the machines eventually become sentient. They question the origin of their existence and ponder the fate of their creators. Ultimately they are left with an intense desire to learn what it means to be human and to know the pleasures of the flesh. Dirt Bitch - Have you ever heard the saying “ Love is Beautiful?” As nice as that sounds, it isn’t always true. Reinforcing this fact by examining just how terrible and revolting love can be, this song tells the gruesome story of a necrophillic mortician who becomes so enamored with one of his dead “customers” that he vows to change his wicked ways. He’s convinced that if he can bring her back to life, it will not only prove his love for her, it will also help to cure him of his attraction to the dead, stiff bodies that arouse him, and they might live a happy, normal life together as husband and wife. The concept for this song inspired early working titles such as Z.I.L.F. and Cemetery Girl, but it was Dirt Bitch that made the cut. This song is the source of both the album’s title and the concept behind the cover graphic. Dead On Lust - Remorse and regret are two of the more painful emotions that plague the human condition. But does their impact hurt more if they are the result of an easily avoidable mistake? One that can never be un-done? Or is it worse when they stem from a tragedy that could not have been prevented? Dead On Lust proposes that there is a third option that is much worse, one that compounds the pain caused by remorse and regret. It examines the contrasting concepts of pure misfortune and inescapable destiny, and describes the tragic result when these two opposing forces collide head-on at full speed. Rise of the Ripper - Unlike most of our creations, which just kind of happen (think un-planned pregnancy) Rise of the Ripper was actually created with two purposes in mind: 1. Musically, it was designed to capture the stylistic essence of Static-X and is intended as a memorial to their late front-man, Wayne Static. 2. Lyrically, the story contained in this song was transcribed directly from the pages of my Great-Great-Grandfather’s personal journal, and it is intended as a platform to unburden myself from the dark secret my family has kept for over a century. What follows is a timeline detailing the series of tragic events, the perfect storm, that turned a shy, un-remarkable boy from London into one of history’s most infamous serial murderers. Lean On - Originally performed by Major Lazer, DJ Snake, and Mo, this song proved that music doesn’t need to be intricate or complex to be amazing. It became an over-night sensation, spawning a multitude of covers, including this version, which is also our first-ever cover song. And though we had our way with it musically, altering the lyrics to add a dark sense of sorrow and loss and subjecting all of our guitar and synth tracks to an original process we call GooSification, we also tried our best to stay true to the source of our inspiration by maintaining the haunting beauty found in the original version. This surprise single titled, U Think U Know Me, didn’t fit the vibe of the August 2017 Album, Waves of Three, so it was set aside and released exclusively as single.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Told from the tragic point-of-view of Chad Hamlin’s own personal experiences, U Think U Know Me tells a story of love gone horribly wrong. As humans we seem to be chasing the idea of love our entire lives, and when we finally succumb to this blinding emotion we are overtaken by its power. The chemical imbalance that love creates in our brains can lead to irrational decisions, and it is those choices that inspired the lyrics for, U Think U Know Me. “When I first recorded the demo for, U Think U Know Me, I had know idea it would stay locked away in the archives for so many years. I honestly think that I wasn’t quite ready to release this song until now. They say time heals all wounds, but I don’t think I’ll ever get over the pain I’ve caused from the actions of my past. Writing lyrics can be a therapeutic way to deal with deep-seated issues, allowing a person to cope with internal problems. I finally feel that I’m ready to share this song with you, I just hope the world is ready to hear it.” U Think U Know Me - It was the first song I recorded on my little micro-studio after being approved by the prison administration to record and release music. I’ve come a long way since recording my first LooNurGooSe demo, but those earlier songs are part of a greater story, all told from the perspective of a man’s trials and tribulations from a prison cage. My friend Aaron Kraft did a short stay here at the prison with me, and he not only got involved with my LooNurGooSe project, but he also wrote three songs on the element66 album titled, Voodoo Doll. As with most of the songs that I had collaborated with Aaron, I had already written the music and the lyrics. Aaron was always a good sport about following the sketch vocal tracks that I had laid down, and he did an amazing job with his vocal parts. Check out his vocals on the song, In My Veins, from the last LooNurGooSe album, Waves of Three. With the help of Aaron’s powerful vocals and Erik Libbert’s amazing guitar work, we took the foundation of the original demo music for, U Think U Know Me, and remixed it into something fresh and new. Erik created another dimension to the song by showcasing an elegant opening guitar piece as the intro, which he titled Best Intentions, so in fact this song is a two-for-one, Best Intentions /U Think U Know Me. And now I feel that the song is ready for your ears. A lost demo brought back to life just for you. Enjoy! After shocking the world with their previous LooNurGooSe album, Chad Hamlin and Erik Libbert wandered back into the studio to create another collection of creepy songs. The latest collection, titled Waves of Three, offers up six bizarre, experimental creations that are as dark and disturbing as they are brilliant and innovative. True LooNurGooSe fans will find this to be the most exciting album yet.
LooNurGooSe is known for pushing the musical boundaries beyond the senses by using hypnotic, experimental effects, chunky, off-time rhythms, catchy, electronic grooves, and tons of strangely-sliced, percussive samples with trippy layers of bizarre sequencing. A few years ago, no one would have expected LooNurGooSe to evolve into this kind of creature, but the warning signs were clear to those paying attention. Now, the experiment has grown organically into a self-sustaining life form; it even walks up-right on two legs. LooNurGooSe is alive and it needs to feed! Traveling the path between madness and sanity can take its toll on the human psyche. Traversing an abyss of lunacy can lead to pure and utter deep-seated delirium. Luckily, Chad Hamlin and Erik Libbert have an outlet, through LooNurGooSe, to unleash upon the world the madness that they’ve brought back from the other side. Now Available at Society 6! Available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby & More!Granny's Attic has a creepy nursery-rhyme-like-vibe, with eerie synth, and an oddly peculiar electronic pulse that’s unique unto itself. The guitar and bass are entangled with strangely mutated effects that create a weird and wonderful new life for the stringed instruments. There is total and utter madness in the way that Chad Hamlin sings the insanely catchy choruses, with familiar childhood lyrics that will instantly get stuck in your head. Dan Musgrove delivers his unique brand of vocals to the disturbingly descriptive verses. His vivid lyrics depict the horrors that are witnessed in Granny's Attic.
This twisted tale reveals the secret life that Granny’s been living. She hasn’t spent her golden years knitting like most of the other Grannies; she’s been to busy dabbling in the dark arts, and now the madness is seeping out of all the nooks and crannies in her attic. No one would have ever expected dear, sweet old Granny of conjuring such wickedly horrifying creatures, but anything’s possible in Granny's Attic. Enjoy the ride! Unveil Your Disguise (Feat. Kenneth Fisher) and the element66 song, Make It Go Away are both being released as singles to help raise money for this great cause. All proceeds from these songs go to help with the mounting medical bills that are piling up on the Torres Family, so join in with LooNurGooSe and element66 and make a difference for José Torres and his Mother, Guadalupe.
If you wish to further contribute to this noble cause for the Torres Family, please visit: https://www.gofundme.com/jmq3u6ms Dear LooNurGooSe fans, I’m in a dilemma, I can’t decide which graphic best fits the newest LooNurGooSe single, set for release late September 2016, titled, Granny’s Attic.
I really like them both, but I can’t make such a choice without asking you guys how you feel about the two covers first. It is the season for voting after all, and with this crazy Presidential Election going on, we all need a break from the political drama, so vote on something fun, and together we’ll pick the perfect cover for Granny’s Attic. Help me out by voting on either: Version 1 (Nighttime) or Version 2 (Daytime) “It wiggled and jiggled, it did things inside her.” With crazy lyrics like these; Granny’s Attic needs to have cover art that best represents this one-of-a-kind LooNurGooSe masterpiece. The plan is to release Granny’s Attic late September 2016, so I’ll need your input on which graphic to choose no later than September 23rd. I want to thank all of you ahead of time for getting involved and helping make this artistic decision with me. LooNurGooSe; it’s a type of madness that I like to share with others, thanks again for your opinions. Enjoy the ride! Chad Hamlin The LooNurGooSe mold has been broken once again with Chad Hamlin & Dan Musgrove’s newest single, Moth To Flame. A raw modern funky tribute to the cocaine game that sweeps & pulls you thru with slick vocals, chunky bass grooves, & innovative guitar licks.
Some of the humorously catchy lyrics are a respectful nod to the Legendary Comedy of George Carlin. Chad and Dan would like to think that if comedy genius George Carlin were alive today, he too would enjoy the raunchy choruses of Moth To Flame. Moth To Flame is definitely meant for you to get up, move your feet and sing along. It’s by far the most bawdy, edgy, and fun-filled LooNurGooSe song to date. The bottom-line is that this single will leave you hungry for more with its extremely fresh electronic percussion, funky grooves, and catchy lyrics. This outlandish musical journey is a memorable one, for sure. Enjoy the ride! Chad Hamlin Available on CD Baby, iTunes and all your favorite online music retailers.
